To top it off, we can generally give you this representation AT NO COST TO YOU! You will not get a bill from us when using us as your buyer’s agent. When acting as your Realtors® in the transaction, we're paid from the seller’s funds at the closing. The only exception to this might be when you purchase a home sold as "For Sale By Owner." (See below.)
How does for sale by owner (FSBO) work?
Homeowners trying to sell their home without agent representation are usually doing so in the hopes of saving money. If you see a FSBO and want the advantages of our services, let us make the initial contact for you. Most of the time the homeowner is happy to work with an agent and pay our buyer’s agent’s commission since they are still saving money on the listing side. In the rare instance that the seller refuses to pay the commission, we can usually work something out to include the commission in the price of the home so that you will not have to come up with the money up front. More than likely, having us represent your interests can save you hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.
If I build a new home, will I pay more if I have representation?
Absolutely not! Builders generally have a buyer’s agent’s commission already built into the home’s pricing. If you don’t have a buyer’s agent representing you, you aren’t saving money - the builder is just making more profit and you have no one representing you.
